Description and scope of data processing

This website does not collect, process or store any personal data other than what is strictly necessary to provide this service, namely client IP addresses and password hash prefixes. We do not use Cookies, tracking pixels or any other form of user tracking. We do not share information with third parties, unless required by law.

Requests to this website or API are usually not logged. If logging needs to be enabled temporary to detect errors or abuse, they are deleted immediately after use and not used for any other purpose. Those logs contain: timestamp, client IP address, request path, referer, agent and non-personal metadata such as response code or size. The request path for requests to the API may contain password hash prefixes.

Passwords checked via this website or API are reduced on client side in such a way that the information actually sent to this service (the password hash prefix) is not sufficient to draw any significant conclusions about the original password.
